Education in Chile
Good morning everyone, I hope you are very well.
Today I will talk about a very important issue at the national level: Education in Chile.
From an economic point of view, Chile is pretty bad. To begin with, we have that Chilean university education is one of the most expensive in the world, earning (sadly) fourth place. However, there is the opportunity to apply for different scholarships and even get to study practically free. The problem with this is that the middle class generally does not qualify for these benefits since their income was very high, but they were not high enough to be able to afford the expensive tariffs.
On the other hand we have the quality of education in Chile. If we talk about primary education, we can notice a great difference in the quality of education between public and private schools. Public education is generally not of a very good quality, with a few exceptions. On the other hand, private schools tend to have higher-quality indices. We can see this in the gap between students who manage to enter university, being mostly students from private schools.
I believe that all this is quite unfair, since everyone should have the right to a quality education, education should not be a privilege.
