Why voting matters
Voting is a fundamental element of any democracy . Through the vote , the representatives of a territory , a nation , a SOCIETY are elected , who have the obligation and duty to represent the needs and demands, not only of their voters , but of the people as a whole . Not voting can bring big problems down the road . For example , in Chile, Sebastián Piñera won the elections in 2017.
